The three ways to finish

ButtonWhat happens
“Save draft”The post is kept without going out
“Schedule N posts”Each network goes out at the chosen time
“Publish to N accounts”The post goes out right away

When you edit a post that is already scheduled, the buttons become “Save”, “Reschedule” and “Back to draft”. As long as it has not gone out, a scheduled post can be rescheduled or put back to draft.

If the post goes out on several networks, each network goes out with its content and its time. The “Who sees what, and when” step summarizes them before sending.

Picking a time

Choose “Now”, or a date and time. A time that has already passed is refused: “That time has already passed. Pick another one.”

Times follow the establishment’s time zone; Sofia adds “That is … for you” when it differs from yours. Each account’s “Usual slots” are offered first, see Posting time slots. You can publish at another time.

On TikTok, “Send as a draft to TikTok” goes out right away: you choose when to publish in the TikTok app.

Tags

Tags are created in the settings: a name and a color, which you can rename, recolor or delete. You apply them from the composer, and filter the calendar with them. See Tags and signature.

Drafts

A draft is the right tool when a post is not ready:

  • Content waiting for approval: see Sharing a post for approval.
  • A week prepared in advance, to review before launching it.
  • Any half-written text, since closing the composer without saving loses it.

Drafts are found in the “Drafts” tab of your posts. A draft never goes out on its own.

After scheduling

The post stays “Scheduled” until its time, then changes to “Sending” and “Published”. “Publishing” shows the progress network by network.

In case of “Failed” or “Partial failure”, the report gives the cause and offers “Try again”; when nothing was published, retrying creates no duplicate. If a network is paused on Sofia, the post has not failed: it will go out by itself when the network reopens. See A post failed to publish.
